Virtual Counseling in Pennsylvania

You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step

– Martin Luther King

Reaching out for help can be hard, especially when life starts to feel heavy or overwhelming—but you don’t have to go through it alone. Therapy is a space to slow down, feel understood, and begin to move through life’s challenges and changes with clarity and confidence. With support, change is possible.

About Me

People come to therapy for many reasons, but most are seeking the same thing – a deeper understanding of themselves and a way forward when life feels overwhelming, uncertain, or painful. My work as a therapist is grounded in curiosity about the human experience and a commitment to helping people feel supported, understood, and empowered to create meaningful change.

Welcome! My name is Ann Marie Galioto, and I’m glad you’re here. My professional path has been somewhat unconventional. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication from Boston University, followed by a Ph.D. in Microbiology and Molecular Virology from Thomas Jefferson University. After years of working in scientific and communication-based fields, a growing interest in human behavior, emotional wellbeing, and connection led me to pursue counseling. I later earned a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Delaware Valley University and am now a licensed professional counselor.

My approach to therapy is collaborative and individualized, shaped by each client’s goals, strengths, and values. I use an integrative, evidence-based framework that supports insight, growth, and lasting change. I strive to offer a compassionate, validating space where clients can process their experiences, build resilience, and move forward in ways that feel meaningful and aligned with their values.
